When interacting with objects in Sea of Thieves, an interact prompt is shown next to the object to inform the player that this is interactable and what button/key is required to interact with it. For example, looking at a Treasure chest will display ‘Pick up Chest’, looking at the Ship’s Wheel will display ‘Use Wheel’.
By default, these interact prompts are only displayed when looking directly at the object in the world with your camera. This new setting allows players to lock these interact prompts to a consistent position on your screen, removing the requirement to keep your camera focused on the object. Players will still need to keep within range of the object, however.
- Navigate to Settings - HUD
- Move down to the section titled Menus
- Set Fixed position for Interact Prompts to On
